Fun and games with G.I Georgia

Yesterday we went to the Hospital Carnival and had such a fun afternoon. Georgia who is normally petrifeid of rides actually went on them on her own!! OK so they were really baby rides but I didn't tell her that!
Ben admired her from a distance thinking how brave his big sister is ann wondering if anyone would notice if he played with the cables and generators!!

Sorry for the rubbish angles of the photos but I had the pushcair with me and it aint easy!

Georgia trying to figure out how to pull an old swing boat ride!

..and then it all went horribly wrong!!

Georgia receiving first aid treatment from the Grimsby TA Medics Division.

OK so you caught us out!! They are actually putting fake blood onto her!! The glass is broken clear jelly stuff!
This was our highlight of the day. The medics were so patient with the kids and adults who were clambering to get made up and it was completely free......I think my little GI would make a great medic..she took apart a heart and ripped open the ribcage and asked lots of questions....until one guy who started to talk about aorta valves until I put him straight with hosepipes!! One day when he has kids he'll get understand - keep it simple!

Then we stood next to the tent for a photo before she smeared it everywhere and my camera ran out of power!!
She came home and tricked all of her friends...most of whom thought it was a Dr Who fake one because the blood had dried by then!

In Flanders fields.....photo heavy by mistake

This is an upside down post!!

You need to start a the bottom...I forget that blogger loads things back to front and the story should start with the yellow flowers and not the collapsing cartwheel!! oh well if Georgia can go wrong when upside down then so can I!!

The field that started it..........with only a few yellow flowers left at the edges now:(

I spied these fields full of rape flowers and knew that there was public access beside them, unfortunately when I returned with my camera 3 weeks later the flowers have nearly finished although you wouldn't know that by these photos because we focused on the last remaining yellow patch!

Check out the Blue Sky!!! No photoshop here!!

Then she did a few poses on the grass......

Until she got bored and started doing handstands......

and finally fell asleep on the sofa worn out from a hard days work!!

Pickering Railway part 1 (photo heavy)

We are back from our wee holiday and I have hundreds of photos to share with you...especially lots of train ones for Dad!!
Our Caravan was tucked away behind some beautiful holiday cottages it was so private Ben could scream his head off and not disturb the neighbours....which he did frequently because he was quite poorly the whole time we were away. He had a large blister/ulcer on his tounge and all sorts of other smelly problems!!

The fish pond was next to the caravan and then the trampoline so we really were well away from the others! The Village is called Wrelton and is 2 miles from Pickering and is soooo pretty we just couldn't get over how stunning it was.........lovely evening walks and treasures around every corner.... These tumbling steps were covered in fairies and tiny cottages!! Georgia made a wish every day!!
The phone box caught curious George's attention and we discovered at least 3 old post boxes too...some tucked way in peoples gardens as ornaments so we unfortunatley couldn't get any fab photos of them.

Saturday we were up early to get to Pickering Station and we only just made it ...Goathland was rainy and dull and we didn't hang around long!!

On our hasty return the weather brightened up nicely so we walked up the steep hill to Pickering Castle and after looking around had our lunch at the picnic tables there.
Ben stayed asleep the whole time becuase he was exhausted from his 48 minutes of screaming on the return train!! I stayed in the guards van with him frimly strapped in the pushchair....I didn't mind because I got the BEST views from my window as I could pull it all the way down and hang my head out with the camera!!! "Oh yes" that bought back some childhood memories!!

Peace and quiet at last.......poor baby!!...must have been the Calpol he had on the train!!
Thats all for now as these photos are taking ages to load so I'll do some more later!!
